It’s not the greatest slate in the world but between Oklahoma/Texas at noon, TAMU/Alabama at 330, and Georgia/Kentucky at 7- there will hopefully be non-stop really good action on your main screen.
Apologies to everyone for missing another week of the podcast, but this will be the last week of the CFB season without a podcast and that is my solemn promise to you. To be honest, this isn’t the greatest slate from a game perspective or from my feel on the games so it’s a good one to miss. I will also be rolling out some great guests for the rest of the season to spice things up and keep it interesting so get pumped!
CFB YTD: 46-40-1 +5.22u
Texas (-5) vs. Oklahoma o/u 60.5
- Texas has the better QB, better weapons, better defense, better coaching staff- DON’T OVERTHINK IT
- Oklahoma has played nobody and the halfway decent teams they played, they did not look very good against
- Everyone is predicting a close game, I would not be surprised if Texas pulls away late and makes this scoreboard look not close
Pick: 1u Texas -5, 1u Texas -6.5 early in the week
Alabama (-1) @ Texas A&M o/u 46.5
- Woah. This line movement is insane. People love A&M.
- Alabama still has major issues.
- TAMU looks about the same with Max Johnson- the offense has been really good this year
- The defense is really solid and should wreak havoc on Alabama’s offensive line just like Texas did
- TAMU should create more explosive plays on offense and be really tough on defense
Pick: 1u TAMU +1.5
Kentucky (+14.5) @ Georgia o/u 47.5
- Georgia’s run defense got exposed against Auburn last week
- Kentucky’s rush offense with Ray Davis is beyond elite
- Georgia continues to come out slow and be down early in games
- Carson Beck cannot exploit the Kentucky defense
- How many times does Georgia have to stink before we just say they are not the same team?
Pick: 1u Kentucky +14.5
Notre Dame @ Louisville (+6.5) o/u 54
- Notre Dame has had a grueling schedule so far this season
- Sam Hartman is just Mr. Resilient
- Lousiville is a fraud undefeated team- they should have lost to GA Tech and Plummer looked horrific last week against NC State where any offense with a pulse would have beaten them
- I trust Notre Dame to run the ball and win the game with their defense
Pick: Notre Dame, Texas MLP (+102)
LSU @ Mizzou (+4.5) o/u 65
- LSU’s offense is still elite and scoring at will
- Their defense is ridiculously bad
- Brady Cook and Mizzou have looked good offensively but have not had the toughest level of competition
- Don’t think, just bet the over
Pick: 1u o64.5
Maryland @ Ohio State (-20) o/u 57
- Maryland has beaten everyone expect the big 3 in the Big Ten
- Taulia and the offense hit a ton of explosive plays and they have a chance to jump out to an early lead against an OSU team that is not the same as the old OSU days
- I am still not a Kyle McCord believer so I will take the better QB and better offense catching three scores
- I BELIEVE IN TAULIA
Pick: 1u Maryland +20
Fresno State (-5.5) @ Wyoming o/u 44.5
- Fresno State is a fraud top-25 team. They have played nobody and this is a team I didn’t like going into this season.
- Wyoming in Laramie is the perfect occasion for Fresno State to get exposed where weird things always happen
1u Wyoming +5.5
UCF (-1.5) @ Kansas o/u 64
- Kansas will be without Jadon Daniels again and that removes the explosive aspect of their offense that could really hurt UCF
- JRP is expected to return for UCF and Gus just signed an extension so vibes are high at UCF despite their total choke job last week
- UCF’s offense should be able to roll non-stop against this Kansas D
Pick: 1u UCF ML (-115)
Colorado @ Arizona State (+4.5) o/u 60
- Colorado’s defense is still horrible, especially without Travis Hunter, and Arizona State’s offense has come to life in the last two weeks
- The environment in Arizona State should be bonkers and we saw Colorado’s offense once on the road in the Pac 12 and it was…. Rough
- All time sleepy spot for Colorado whereas ASU will want to win this game as their Super Bowl
Pick: 1u ASU +4.5
Vanderbilt (+18.5) @ Florida o/u 52
- Vandy has to cover eventually right? Right…
- Against Graham Mertz, this Vandy defense can maybe finally show some signs of life
- Florida has to be feeling pretty down about their season after getting romped by Kentucky last week
- I am just trying to buy Vandy at an all-time low as the only 0-6 ATS team in the country
Pick: 1u Vandy +18.5
Texas Tech (-1.5) @ Baylor o/u 59.5
- This Baylor team just stinks so bad- their defense is horrific and they needed the collapse of the century to come back against UCF last week
- Behren Morton has had time to get used to being QB1 and should be ready for an easy defensive matchup here
- This Baylor offense just doesn’t scare me either. They were non-existent until going into desperation mode last week.
Pick: 1u Texas Tech +1 (play short ML at current #)
Round Robin: Texas (-215), TAMU (+104), UCF (-125), FAU (-156), ASU (+150)
