The come down from March Madness lasts just a couple of days before a tradition unlike any other gets underway in Augusta, Georgia. The magic of the Masters is unmatched and it is also one of the best betting events of the year. This is seemingly Scottie Scheffler’s tournament to lose but there are a million different bets that you can make and I tried to make them all…

Outright Winners

2u Hideki Matsuyama (20/1)- Hideki has quietly been one of the best players on Tour this season. His stellar iron play and lack of big mistakes translate perfectly to Augusta as proven in 2021.

2u Joaquin Niemann (29/1)- If you just watch the PGA Tour every week you may have forgotten about Niemann but he is one of the best players in the world at the moment. Rahm and Brooks will be the popular picks from LIV but Niemann has arguably been the best player on LIV over the past few months and currently is the 7the best best player in the world per Data Golf. His game also suits Augusta very well.

1u Will Zalatoris (45/1)- Zally is Brooks Koepka Light. He always steps up in big tournaments. He has a 2nd place and a T-6 in two career Masters to go along with four other top-8 major finishes. After an injury-riddled 2023, Zally is back to win the whole damn thing.

1u Russell Henley (65/1)- Russell Henley has played incredible golf this season. Data Golf isn’t the end-all-be-all but Henley is currently the 9th best player in the world according to DG which makes him a must-bet at this value. He also has a really solid course history here including a top-5 finish last year.

0.75u Sergio Garcia (125/1)- This one feels gross but I had to at this number. Sergio obviously is capable of winning here and has played pretty solid golf the past few months. This is a current form and past experience combination that could just come together at the perfect time.

First Round Leaders

All 1u Bets

Will Zalatoris (35/1)- see above

Shane Lowry (45/1)- Shane-o is always good for a couple great rounds in a major. If things are muddy and sloppy on Thursday he is exactly the kind of guy you want. Good value on a good course fit here.

Russell Henley (45/1)- see above

Corey Conners (45/1)- Another really good course fit and a guy who has three career top-10s at Augusta. He could come out hot early before falling off over the weekend.

Finishing Position

All 1u Bets

Xander Schauffele- Top 10 (+140)- This is an auto bet. In 26 career majors, X has an absurd 11 top 10s. Not to mention he is maybe playing the best golf of his life right now.

Hideki Matsuyama- Top 10 (+180)- see above

Cameron Young- Top 10 (+360)- Cam Young is a perfect fit here after a top-10 finish last season. This guy is a boom or bust so totally worth the shot at top-10. In 10 career majors, he has 5 missed cuts and 4 top 10s. If he doesn’t totally shit the bed, he is good for a top-10 finish.

Russell Henley- Top 10 (+400), Top 20 (+150)- see above

Sahith Theegala- Top 10 (+400), Top 20 (+160)- Sahith is Cam Young adjacent where if he just shows up and has a good mentality, he could contend to win the whole thing. He finished in the top 10 at his first Masters last year and is playing even better golf entering this year.

Joaquin Niemann- Top 20 (-105)- see above

Matt Fitzpatrick- Top 20 (+120)- Fitzy is a great course fit at Augusta. He is a major champion and has two career top 10s at Augusta so no worries there. He isn’t at the top of his game at the moment but is totally capable of putting in a top-20 performance here.

Sergio Garcia- Top 20 (+275), Top 30 (+130)- Like I said… I just have a weird vibe from Sergio this week.

Shane Lowry- Top 30 (-140)- Consistently solid.

Corey Conners- Top 30 (-110)- see above

Cam Davis- Top 30 (+240)- Finished top-5 in a major last year and has a huge upside.

Lucas Glover- Top 40 (+100)- Lucas finished 30th at his last Masters in 2022 and is playing his best golf in years. This is a comfortable spot for him to finish inside the top 40.

Finishing Position Parlay- Scottie Top 10, Xander Top 20, Hideki Top 20, Sahith Top 30, Conners Top 30, Sergio Top 40

Props

All 1u Bets

Scottie Scheffler to Win Wire to Wire (28/1)- Scottie is as low as 4/1 to win the whole thing so at this number to go wire to wire why not?? Rahm nearly went wire to wire last year so it’s very doable. Scottie is the boogie man at the moment and if he takes the lead after R1 there is no reason why he would ever give it up.

Top English Player- Matt Fitzpatrick (+190)

To Make the Cut Parlay- Scheffler/Xander/Fitzpatrick/Spieth/Zalatoris/Conners/Cam Davis/Glover (+574)

Good luck everybody! Enjoy the best week of the year!
