Classic Mets tonight. Gsellman gave up 4 runs in the first inning and it looked like the Mets were just gonna take the L. But then the Metropolitans came out and put 4 of their own right back up top 2 to tie the game. Then in the 3rd inning Yo hit ANOTHER homer to give the Mets a 6-4 lead.

Mets Horsin Around Baseball

All the sudden the momentum had shifted and it looked like the Mets bats were still red hot from Philly and they would win the game. Cespedes hit ANOTHER ANOTHER homer in the fifth and he now leads Major League Baseball in home runs.

*Yo horse picture again*

Then oleeeeee Gsellman gave up 4 MORE in the fifth. So let’s talk about that for a second. Gsellman sucks. He’s had two atrocious outings so far this year. We desperately need Matz to return and round out the rotation.

Back to the game.

The Mets put up a run in the eighth to tie the game and to extras we went. The Mets bullpen in shocking fashion dominated in extras. They shut down the Marlins for 6 extra innings and Travid D’Arnaud had an absolute moon shot in the top of the 16th to win the game.

So, here’s where we stand now. The Mets grinded another tough win, where sometimes it looked like they suck and sometimes they looked like the best team in baseball. Regardless, the Mets have 3 games left against the mediocre Marlins and they’re pitching the big 3 of the rotation. The Mets could easily complete another sweep and be 10-3 all the sudden. Of course this means they’re going to lose the next 3 and somebody will probably tear something but whatever.

Thor tomorrow night. #LGM
