Spring has sprung. A tradition unlike any other has arrived. It is Masters weekend. Outside of March Madness (due to longevity), the Masters is the best sporting event that exists. Being able to wake up early Thursday morning and watch golf the entire day and then do that again Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A perfect excuse to sit inside and do absolutely nothing or make a daytime trip to the bar. Both are excellent moves for Masters weekend. Let’s not waste any more time and get right into the picks. (Also not to brag but Patrick Reed was my pick last year).
The Picks
There are two guys that I love to win the tournament. I’m putting 2 units on both of these guys to bring it home.
Dustin Johnson 10/1
Justin Thomas 18/1
The Contenders
These are guys I think have some good value and will be in contention come Sunday. I’m putting 1 unit on all of these guys.
Tommy Fleetwood 25/1
Rickie Fowler 18/1
Hideki Matsuyama 28/1
Paul Casey 25/1
The Longshot
I’m putting 0.5 a unit on this guy as an insane longshot. Just go with it.
Si-Woo Kim 80/1
The Drunk Bet
Tiger Woods 15/1
Listen. I’m a Tiger guy. When Tiger does things on the golf course I get literal goosebumps. I grew up watching Tiger and he made me think golf was cool. Who do I want to win the Masters? Tiger. But the value stinks. Frankly, for someone who hasn’t won a major in a decade and has only won one tournament in the past five years should have much better value. But the oddsmakers know people are going to bet Tiger NO MATTER WHAT so they can set the line wherever they please. Because of this, I said I wasn’t going to bet Tiger but I was flush from all my UVA winnings and decided to throw a unit on ole Eldrick anyways so here we are.
BOL everyone and enjoy one of the best weekends in sports.
I think you are selling Tiger short. He could have won several years if he doesn’t hit the pin and go in the water. If he can hang around and be in the mix on Sunday…
This is the tourney where you can justify sitting inside on a beautiful day and a beautiful setting. Not like sitting inside for the match play championships when you are visiting St Thomas…
