So I’m sure a lot of people saw this story over the weekend. It was a pretty viral story for a couple of reasons, obviously, a Bama student calling in a bomb threat to an LSU-Florida game is the most “it just means more” move of all time. Secondly, the kid’s name is Connor Bruce Croll which might be the most Sigma Chi at Bama name ever. Thirdly, his mugshot was the perfect embodiment of his name, background, and the whole story.

The popped collar is phenomenal.
Well, this morning we got a new development from TMZ:
This changes EVERYTHING. Connor Bruce Croll just went from felon to Friend of the Year. One of Connor Bruce Croll’s buddies (by the way you definitely have to call him Connor Bruce Croll whenever referring to him, just “Connor” simply won’t do) laid a monster bet and at some point realized he had a huge loser. I’m sure he started crying, asking CBC if he could borrow some money, telling a sob story about how his bookie was going to take his kneecaps if he didn’t pay, and what did CBC do? Laugh in his face? Tell him “tough luck?” Tell him to triple down on Arizona since they didn’t kick off until 11? No. He did the most chivalrous, most homie thing one could possibly do. He called in a bomb threat at Tiger Stadium.
Now let’s be clear, nobody was ever in any danger, there was no real bomb, so in my opinion: no harm, no foul. CBC was simply trying to get the game called early so his friend would get a “No Action” on his mammoth-sized bet. Rather than be put in prison, I think Connor Bruce Croll should have been given some sort of medal for courage and brotherhood. Personally, I would call in a fake bomb threat to a football stadium to have a friend like Connor Bruce Croll, that’s how special of a guy he is.
As a degenerate, we’ve all been “out of moves” at some point in our gambling career. Well, when you have a friend like Connor Bruce Croll, you’re simply never out of moves. So cheers to you, Connor Bruce Croll, may all of our homies be as homie as you!
The one mystery of this whole thing is what was his friend’s bet?? If he had Florida +13.5-14 that was in play for pretty much the entire game! My guess is he must have laid the points with LSU and this was when LSU was down a touchdown in the third quarter. So… in reality, he may have done all of this for nothing and his friend won his bet anyways. Hopefully, his buddy can help out with some of that bail money.
Roll Damn Tide!
